Dear Jeff, As we have discussed before privately, my family who immigrated to Pa. in the 1730's has a possibly association with your family. You might find some answers at the former Heimatstelle Pfalz, q.v. It is now called [Institut für pfälzische Landes- und Volkskunde] Institut fuer Pfaelzische...,q.v. Their records are also at kuztown.edu, q.v. There are also regional centers in Germany and the Netherlands. The German records have been extracted over the years by someone named Walter Hacker, I believe. My father got negative responses for years from Germany, but finally they correlated the American records with German exit records, church records, and family reports back to Germany. I found that my ancestor had married in Germany and she died on the voyage ("Frau...Ueberfahrt starb"). That made more sense than that he came to America almost 30 and started marrying widows -- one of which was Widow Buechler or Widow Pichler as his third wife. When did your Widow start and stop having chidren from a Peter? I don't think it's the same but found no other candidate for "Barbara Bichler". Although my family wasn't Mennonite, I found strong ties with the Mennonite families over generations in Lancaster. My ancestor even deeded the land for the Mennonite Church for his friend and neighbor, Bishop Eby. His mother back in Germany was the descendant of generations of Swiss Anabaptists.
