1 - June 20th, 1908, GRACE JENNINGS, born Feb. 16th, 1882, died August 1916. (daughter of CHARLES JENNINGS and ADDIE Zumwalt).
2 - Nov. 6th, 1917, DOT LANDER, born Apr. 30th, 1884 (daughter of WILLIAM POLK LANDER and EMMA EDITH RUNNER). Immediately after graduation from Lewis and Clark High School, Spokane, Wash., Earl went to work for the Pacific States Telephone Co., as a lineman. He has been with the same company for 34 years, being construction foreman for a number of years.

Grace Jennings was a descendant of the Zumwalt family who were among the earliest pioneers in Linn County, near Eugene, Oregon. Before her marriage she was a secretary for the Spokane Trust Co.
