The caregiver of many is now being cared for by God in heaven. Norma Rita (Sneider) Majewski died peacefully at home May 26, 2004. She had been battling lung cancer for 10 months. She is preceded in death by her husband Bob. Norma was mom to Jan (Jim) Knox, Susan Whalen, Karen (Chuck) Peffley, Teri (Brian) Hirami and Anne (Kyle) Dybing. She was grandma to eleven and great-grandma to two grandchildren. A faith filled member of St. Gerard church for forty years she stayed active with the retired Queen of Peace Circle and funeral guild. Also a registered nurse, Norma graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing in Toledo, Ohio. She worked twenty years at Ingham Medical Center until her retirement in 1994. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Cathedral with Rev. Fr. John Klein as celebrant. Rite of committal to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 PM and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel, 6020 W. Saginaw where the Rosary will be prayed Friday at 7:00 PM.
