Katherine M. [Smith] PEFFLEY, 67, Rt. 1, Mentone, died at 12:56 a.m. today at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She had been ill several days.
She was born June 3, 1916, in Mendon, W. Va. She lived in Mentone 23 years. On Jan. 6, 1959, she married David L. PEFFLEY in Dayton, Ohio. He survives.
Surviving with the husband are two daughters, Dixie BORDEN, Orlando, Fla., and Judi MURPHY, Brea, Calif.; three sons, Michael SMITH, Dayton; Richard PEFFLEY, Lake Jackson, Texas, and Timothy PEFFLEY, Fort Wayne; a sister, Vivian BLAKE, Oak Hill, W. Va.; a brother, Elmer SMITH, Los Angeles, Calif.; ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m.Wednesday at the Mentone First Baptist Church, the Rev. Ken MARKEN officiating. Burial will be in the Mentone Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the King Memorial Home, Mentone.
