BLUFFTON, Ind. — Edna A. Peffly, 88, 720 E. Dustman Road, died Friday at 8:50 a.m. at Christian Care Retirement Community, Bluffton.

She was born July 12, 1919, to Jacob A. and Cora E. (Raber) Ramer, in Versailles, Mo.

She married Nelson Inebnit in 1943 in Ohio. He died in 1949. On Dec. 23, 1972, she married Calvin L. Peffly in Goshen. He died June 2, 1986.

She was a homemaker and had worked as a telephone operator and waitress. Mrs. Peffly retired from Bluffton to Goshen in 1993.

She was a member of Plymouth United Church of Christ. While living in Goshen, she volunteered at Goshen General Hospital and was a member of the Goshen Business and Professional Women’s organization.

Surviving are daughter Betty (James) Van Winkle, Bluffton; and son, Glen Inebnit; two grandchildren, Andrew (Tamara) Van Winkle, Clayton, Jennifer (Robert Hirosky) Van Winkle, Charlottesville, Va.; great-grandchildren, Alexander and Jordan Van Winkle, Clayton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Samuel P. Ramer.

Friends may call Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Plymouth United Church of Christ.

The funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Rev. John von Lackum will conduct the service.

Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorials may directed to Plymouth United Church of Christ, Goshen, or Christian Care Retirement Community.
