PEFLEY
Mr. Joseph S. Pefley, 64, of Zion, Illinois, died February 17, 1980 at his home.
Mr. Pefley was born June 15, 1915 in Zion where he had resided all of his life. He was a member of the Christian-Catholic Church. Mr. Pefley was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Zion Benton American Legion. He was employed by Westminster Business Machines, Lake Bluff.
Mr. Pefley is survived by his widow, Janine, two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Kreider of Plantation, Florida, Mrs. Virginia Bruce of Kenosha, Wisconsin, two sons Michael of Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, James of Zion, Illinois; one sister, Esther Pefley of Zion, two brothers, Daniel of Brownwood, Texas, Stephen of Indianapolis, Indiana; eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul.
Visitation will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, on Monday, February 18. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Zion Historical Society.
