James Pefley of Advance is dead
Expires at sister's home in Lebanon — Funeral on Saturday

James Henry Pefley, 79, resident of Advance for nearly three score and ten years, died at the home of his sister, Laura Shelley, of Lebanon [Putnam County], Friday morning at 5:45 o'clock. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Pefley was a native of Indiana and was the son of William Riley Pefley and Mariam Neaville Pefley. H was never married. He lived in Advance for 69 years, moving to his sister's home in Lebanon only a few days ago. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Laura E. Shelley of Lebanon, Mrs. Hettie L. Brown of near Dover and Mrs. Minnie P. Robbins of Jamestown. The body was taken to the Lawler funeral home in Lebanon and late Friday was taken to Advance to the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Graham where the funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Burial will be made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Jamestown.
