James Charles Pefley

A memorial service for James Charles Pefley, 78, of Sequim will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Covenant Christian Church in Spokane with the Rev. Teddy Turner officiating. Burial was in the Spokane Memorial Gardens under direction of Harper-Ridgeview Funeral Chapel of Port Angeles. Mr. Pefley died Sunday, Jan. 11, 1987, in Port Angeles. He was born Jan. 4, 1909, in Spokane and reared there. His parents were Samuel M. and Anna Allen Pefley. On June 10, 1934, he married Vera M. Lash in Spokane. She survives in Sequim. Mr. Pefley worked as a photo finisher for about 40 years in Spokane and for 16 years owned Western Photo Service. He retired in 1974 and moved to Sequim in 1978. Mr. Pefley served in the Army for three years during World War II. He was a member of the Sequim Senior Center and the Covenant Christian Church in Spokane. Other survivors are a son, Charles Pefley of Seattle; three granddaughters; and a sister, Elizabeth Krumsick of Spokane.
