ROCKVILLE
Earl “Pooch” Pefley, 77, 403½ W. Ohio St., died Wednesday morning. The coroner ruled that he took his own life. Mr. Pefley was born in Parke County on Sept. 5, 1907, a son of Daniel and Lydia Coombes Pefley. He was employed as a service station attendant. Surviving are his wife, Ella; one stepson, Roderick Hensley of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Opal Vandiver and Thelma Bradfield, both of Rockville; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Barnes Mortuary at Rockville, with the Rev. J.O. Trousdale officiating. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
