David PEFLEY was born in Virginia June 12, 1823 and was married to Mary M. MICHAEL near Bainbridge, Putnam Co IN April 20, 1855. To them were born 9 children, 5 boys and 4 girls, two of whom have preceded him to their home beyond, Jacob M, dying at age 4 years 10 months 2 days and Goerge f at age 2 years 11 months and 20. David Pefley died at his home near Bridgeton May 27, 1897. He leaves a wife and 7 children to mourn his demise. He wa snot a member of any church yet he lived a quiet and peaceful life and left evidence behind that he had gone home to rest to that home from whence no traveler returneth.
