MRS. ANNA HARSHBARGER, 89, OF LADOGA, DIES AT HOME OF HER SON
(Anna Pefley Harshbarger) Ladoga, June 23
Mrs. Anna Peffley (sic) Harshbarger, 89, one of the oldest and best known residents of this community, died at the home of her son, Frank, west of here, Friday morning at 4:30 o'clock. Mrs. Harshbarger had been in declining health for many months but the immediate cause of her death was injuries she received in a fall on June 13 when she fractured her hip. The deceased was born on the old Peffley (sic) homestead, five miles northeast of Ladoga, the daughter of John B. and Sally Mangus Peffley (sic). She was a member of a family of eight children, only one of whom survives. She was married Nov. 12, 1865, to William R. Harshbarger, whose death occurred in September 1922. Mrs. Harshbarger had been a faithful member of the Ladoga Brethren church for many years. The survivors include one daughter, Mrs. H. H. Keim, of Nampa, Ida, three sons, Wilford, Frank, and John Harshbarger, all of near Ladoga; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren, and one brother, George Peffley (sic), of Parsons, Kas. A son and daughter preceded her in death. The funeral services will be held at the Ladoga Brethren church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the church Cemetery.
