John Peffley (sic throughout, should be PEFFLY)
John Peffley, 63, of Coal Hill died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998, at his home.
He was retired from the military, U. S. Navy veteran, son of the late Orlando (sic) and Ethel Schoonover Peffley, and a Pentecostal.
He is survived by five sisters, Donna Wilson and Shirley O'Reily, both of West Carrollton, Ohio, Gloria Adams of West Alexandria, Ohio, Ardice Penrod of Waynesfield, Ohio, and Francis Moore of Lady Lake, Fla.; two brothers, Larry Peffley (sic) of Eaton, Ohio, and Jacob Peffley (sic) of Laura, Ohio; and 28 nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the Coal Hill Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Morris and Eugene Scarberry officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Calvin Morgan, Bentley Yates, Jeep Yates, Kent Yates, Walter Nagel, and Eddie Carter.
Honorary pallbearers were Dee Yates, Jim Gibson, Bill Meeler, Tommy Dean Hanson, Walter Rinke, and Otto Wall.
