Services for Ruth E. Peffly, 76, who died Wednesday in Good Samaritan Hospital, will be at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow in Mercer Mortuary, 1541 E. Thomas. Miss Peffley, 3502 N. Fourth Ave., was a member of the First Methodist Church. She was employed as a private secretary 20 years for the Union Investment Co. here. In 1944 she moved to Los Angeles and worked for the Squirt Bottling Co. until she retired in 1957. She returned to Phoenix in 1962. Born in Indiana, she first moved to Phoenix in 1924. Two sisters, Mrs. Max North of Phoenix and Mrs. G.V. Stanley of Mesa's Velda Rose district; and a brother in California survive. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. today. Graveside services will be in Hollywood Cemetery at Los Angeles. The family suggests memorials to charity.

Miss Peffley, a native of Indiana who first moved to Phoenix in 1924, had been employed as a private secretary 20 years for Union Investment Co. here. In 1944 she moved to Los Angeles and worked for Squirt Bottling Co. until she retired in 1957. She returned to Phoenix in 1962. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. North of Phoenix and Mrs. G.V. Stanley of Mesa's Velda Rose district; and a brother, William A. Peffley of Culver City, Calif.
