Roy M. Peffley, 93, of 1146 E. Fourth St., died at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday in Michiana Community Hospital, South Bend, after an illness. Mr. Peffley had been a carpenter at Uniroyal Inc. He was born Aug. 25, 1893, in Goshen and had lived in Mishawaka about 60 years. On May 30, 1921, he married Nina Baker Ulery. She died Nov. 18, 1970. On May 1, 1974, in North Liberty, he married Mable Jimerson. She survives along with a step daughter, Thelma LaPlace of Bristol; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a step granddaughter (sic); and a sister, Ruth Bleiler of Phoenix, Ariz.
There will be no visitation or services. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery in Goshen. Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, was in charge of arrangements.
