Monroe Peffley, 75, of Hershey, died Friday, November 7, 2003 in Holy Spirit Hospital.
He was born July 22, 1928 in Hershey, son of the late Harvey H. and Alice M. (Carl) Peffley.
Mr. Peffley was a graduate of Hershey High School; a World War II Army Veteran; a retired employee of PP&L; and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hershey.
Surviving are his wife, Arlene (Zartman) Peffley; 2 daughters, Susan Risner of Newport and Barbara Dubs of Dillsburg; 3 sons, Steven of Newport, Thomas of Pennfield, NY and James of Middletown; 2 brothers, Carl Peffley, Sr. of Chambers Hill and Wayne Peffley of Hershey; a sister, Lottie Boyd of Hershey and another sister, Bernice Freeman, who died Saturday; 16 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
Services will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at 11 a.m. in the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Route #422 & Lucy Avenue, Hershey. Interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday in the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m.
