Lloyd B. Peffley

Funeral services for Lloyd B. Peffley, former Lincoln county auditor and assessor who died in a Spokane hospital Tuesday, will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Hennessey's chapel. Burial will be in the Cemetery at Wilbur, Wash., at 2:30 p. m.
Mr. Peffley, a Spokane county resident for more than 50 years, made his home at Reardan, Wash., for the last five years. He came west from Kansas with his parents who first settled at Wilbur.
In 1933, he first became county auditor by appointment and at that time moved from Wilbur to Davenport. He was elected auditor for two consecutive terms after which he was elected twice as county assessor. He resigned in 1947 to accept a position with a hardware company in Reardan and still was employed by the firm until his death. He was working last Thursday when stricken with a heart attack and forced to go to the hospital.
Mr. Peffley was a member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodges at Davenport, the Lions club at Reardan and the Wilbur Presbyterian church.
He is survived by his widow, Myrtle, at the home; a son, Lloyd John Peffley, Tacoma, and a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Manderville, Roswell, N.M.
