Lee D. Peffley
Lee D. Peffley, 69, of North Locust Street, Palmyra, died Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.
Born June 14, 1934 in Lebanon County, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mary (Meily) Peffley.
He retired from Cleaver Brooks, Lebanon and had also worked at Ames Industries, Hershey.
He was a member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, Palmyra; the National Rifle Association; the Palmyra Sportsman's Club and was a life member of the Palmyra Fire Company.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy M. (Miller) Peffley; children, Carol Ann Shafer of Slovan, Karen Peffley of Elizabethtown, Lee Peffley, Jr., of Campbelltown, Jan Pennebaker and Michael Peffley, both of Lebanon; sisters, Helen Beard and Sallie Karsnitz, both of Lebanon; brother, Richard Peffley of Avon, New York; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10: 30 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2003 at Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, 131 Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be from 9 to 10: 30 a.m. Saturday, at the church.
