Ernie Peffley, 73, south-central Kansas City, died Oct. 3, 1992, at the home. Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Southside Christian Center Assembly of God Church; burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the Newcomer's Floral Hills Chapel. Mr. Peffley was born in Crawfordsville, Ind., and had lived in Kansas City since 1980. He was an independent residential painter in Crawfordsville and Kansas City. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Jolly sixties Club in Kansas City. He was a member of the church. Survivors include his wife, Lotha Peffley of the home; two stepsons, Roger Stuvy and John Mark Stuvy of Kansas City; a stepdaughter, Beth Ellis, Kansas City; three brothers, Russell Peffley, Jewell Peffley and Jim Peffley of Crawfordsville; five sisters, Mable Walker and Mildred Pickett of Crawfordsville, Opal Stephens, Lake City, Fla., Rose Peffley, South Bend, Ind., and Iva Pittman, Attica, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
