Bernice M. (Peffley) Freeman, 87, of 1085 Swatara Road, Hershey, died Saturday, November 8, 2003 at her home.
She was born March 21, 1916 in Hummelstown, daughter of the late Harvey and Mary Alice (Carl) Peffley.
She was a life long member and Sunday School teacher for the Independent Bible Church of Sand Beach, and had worked for Hershey Foods for a number of years.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 56 years, John M. Freeman; one son, Kenneth J. Freeman of Palmyra; one daughter, Trudy M. Mullis of Tampa, FL; 2 brothers, Wayne Peffley of Hershey and Carl Peffley of Chambers Hill; one sister, Lottie Boyd of Hershey; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 2003, in her church, with Pastor Ray Kanoun officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
