 CARISLE—Arthur S. Peffley, 82, of 967 W. Old York Road, Dickinson Twp., died Sunday at home. He retired from Dickinson College; a member of American Legion Post 674 and VFW Post 7343 of Mount Holly Springs; and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Anna M. Mowery Peffley. Surviving is a stepson, John Anderson of East Berlin, and four stepgrandchildren. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Services for Arthur S. Peffley, 82, of 967 W. Old York Road, Carlisle, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle. He died Sunday, June 1, 1997 in his home. Born May 15, 1915 in Cumberland County, he was the widower of Anna M. Mowery Peffley. Mr. Peffley was retired from Dickinson College. He was a life member of the American Legion Post No. 674, Mt. Holly Springs, the VFW Post No. 7343, Mt. Holly Springs and he was an United States Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. Surviving are a step-son, John Anderson of East Berlin and four step-grandchildren. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Carlisle. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.
