Jonny A. Moore Sr.
Jonny Allen Moore Sr., age 59, of Mount Dora, Fla., and formerly of Eaton, Ohio, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at Florida Hospital North in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
Born on Feb. 6, 1944, in Eaton, Ohio, he was the son of the late William Elbert and Goldie May (Moore) Moore. He has been a land developer in Florida for the past 20 years. A 1962 Eaton High School graduate and was a member of the Franklin Street Baptist Church in Eaton.
Preceded in death by brothers, James H. Moore in 1921, Wallace Earl Moore in 1946, Joe Donald Moore in 1990 and Gene Darrell Moore in 1991 sister, Helen V. Davis in 1992.
Survived by his wife of 40 years, Frances L. (Peffly) Moore sons, Jonny A. Moore Jr., Lady Lake, Fla., Jerry A. Moore and Jacob A. Moore daughter, Kelly A. Moore, Mount Dora, Fla. brothers, William E. "Bill" Moore, Eaton, Ohio, Jack Moore, New Paris, Ohio, Vernie Moore and Lawrence L. Moore, both of Eaton, Ohio sisters, Lexie J. Killen and Dorothy M. Davis, both of Eaton, Ohio, Becky J. Hubek, Camden, Ohio two grandchildren nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2003, 11 a.m. (Ohio time) at the Franklin Street Baptist Church, 215 S. Franklin St., Eaton, Ohio, with co-pastors Jack and Lawrence Moore officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 24, 2003, from 5-8 p.m. (Ohio time) at the Barnes Funeral Home, 220 E. Main St., Eaton, Ohio.
