Irma M. Peffley, 80, a 59-year resident of Wenatchee, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 1988, in Central Washington Hospital following a sudden illness.
She was born Irma M. Martinek June 3, 1908, at Forsyth Flat, Mont., to James and Mary Martinek. She grew up and attended school in Forsyth Flat and graduated from Forsyth High School. She married Earl Murdock at Sheboygan, Wis., and they moved to Wenatchee in 1929. They later purchased an orchard which they operated together. Mr. Murdock died in 1948.
She married Glen Peffley on Sept. 8, 1951, at Wenatchee. They sold the ranch in the mid 1970s and moved to East Wenatchee.
Survivors include her husband, at home; two sons, Robert Murdock, Wenatchee, and Marvin Murdock, East Wenatchee; one brother, Robert Martinek. Forsyth, Mont.; four sisters, Virgina (sic) Cauble and Ramona Johnson, both of the Portland area, Norma Bergen, Anaconda, Mont., and Vivian Covarrubias, Rusebud, Mont.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley.

Services will be held at Telford's Chapel of the Valley Monday morning at 10 o'clock with the Rev. Will Mason officiating. Concluding services and the interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Those who wish may make memorials to Parkinson's Research. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley.
