Kent Mitchel Jones, 53, of 218 Rexmont Road, Rexmont, died Friday, December 15, 2006, in his home.
He was born October 15, 1953, in Lebanon, a son of LaVern Hartman Jones Spatz of Ephrata and the late Ardell M. and Geraldine L. Sweigart Jones. He was a member of United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd and a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam Conflict.
He was a 1971 graduate of Lebanon High School and a welder/assembler at Supreme Mid-Atlantic Corporation, Jonestown. He was a member of the "R" Field and Stream and he enjoyed hunting, motorcycles, NASCAR, and his family.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife Sandra Jean Peffley Jones of Rexmont; children Ian Mitchel, spouse of Mia Lynn Jones of Lebanon, and Mia Jean, spouse of Rusty Fuller of Lebnaon; sister Linda L. Whitman of Lebanon, brother Steve B., spouse of Lucille Jones of Ephrata, brother Scott C., spouse of Patti Jones of Cleona, brother Larry A. Jones of Lebanon, sister Nancy Gill of Ephrata, brother John, spouse of Kim Jones of Ephrata, brother Rick Jones of Ephrata, and sister Dawn, spouse of John Blauch of Lebanon; grandchildren Jada Alica Jones and Remy Witherson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, December 20, 2006, from 6-8 p.m. at Christman's Funeral Home Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon. Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
