Wade Phelmons Horn, 71, of Cedar Grove passed away Monday, November 27, 2006 at the VA Medical Center, Huntington.

He was a Korean War veteran.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Horn; brothers, Wayne and Hank Horn; and a sister, Maxine Horn.

Surviving are companion, Rebecca Legg of Cedar grove; sons, Mike and wife, Michelle Horn, of Winston-Salem, N.C., Brian Horn of Winston-Salem and Cody Peffley of Elkhart, Ind.; mother, Floy Horn of Reidsville, N.C.; sisters, Joyce Lester of Reidsville, Dorothy Barker and Nadine and husband, Bob Hinton, of Edwardsburg, Mich.; Peggy Jean and husband, Otis Cantrell, of Alexandria, Ind., Brenda and husband, Donnie Rash, of Morgantown and Thelma Rouch of Elkhart; brother, Jack R. Horn of Reidsville; two grandchildren, Brianna and Amick; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Jackson; five stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and special caregiver and niece, Tammy VanMeter.

Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 30, at Cooke Funeral Home Chapel, Cedar Grove, with the Rev. James Balser officiating. Burial will be in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow, with military graveside rites by Gauley Bridge VFW.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family would like to give special thanks to HospiceCare and, in lieu of flowers, requests that donations be made to HospiceCare, 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064.
